Mymensingh Medical College Hospital | Health Bulletin 2015 |
Preface
It is indeed a great honour and privilege for me to publish the Health bulletin-2015 of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Being one of the oldest Medical College Hospital in the country, it has transcended almost 62 years from its inception as a 500 beded referral hospital. Off late it has been upgraded to 1000 beded hospital. Though admitted patient load remains on an average 1900. Besides patients treatment, this hospital is concerned with undergraduate training to medical and nursing students and post-graduate training to doctors in 27 disciplines. This hospital enjoys its wide catchment areas for healthcare services to near about two and a half crore of people of greater Mymensingh district. More so incorporation of newly constructed 500 beded multistoried annexed hospital building has eased the accommodation of indoor and out door healthcare services. This bulletin imbibed with all health related information of this tertiary level hospital. As such readers will get an overall view of health status of greater Mymensingh area giving input to planning of the health services. This bulletin is committed to fulfill MDG4 and MDG5 to bring the country forward for further laurels. I would like to express my gratitude to all the members of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for their untiring efforts and commitments. I harp upon our esteemed readers to sympathetically bear with the shortcomings, if any in this papers. I have strong conviction that the commitments of present Government on furnishing Digital Bangladesh is getting strengthen by the health services. At the end, I would like to thank DGHS and MOHFW for their courage and endeavour for making success towards Digital Bangladesh.
