Preface
This is my great pleasure to publish this "HEALTH BULLETIN" of Palash Upazilla. It has 04 unions and 01 Pawrushova. Sitallakkha river runs west sight in this upazila. There are 03 railway station, 04 College, 24 high school, 63 Gov Primary school, 25 madrasha & 16 big industry in this upazila. This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2014. This bulletin is published for dissemination the information of Palash Upazilla to other line department and development partners of health. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this Upazilla. This health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also to see the result and achievements of 2014. This health bulletin has also the information on safe drinking water and sanitation status of the upazilla. All the sanctioned and vacant post are published in this bulletin. I like to draw attention of the higher authourity about this. Finally i would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for setting one step ahead towards digital Bangladesh. Important information and necessary issues for Palash Upazila Health Complex
Palash Upazila health complex is a 31 bedded hospital. It is on the way to upgraded 50 bedded hospital, building has already been handed over but yet not functionally active because of lack manpower and other facilities.Some patient coming to this hospitals are diverted to district hospital to available specialist service which is nearer to our health complex. If speacilist doctors are posted here than we can provide them with residence. We are proud to publish local health bulletin which help us to know about our health status, health facilities and health service to our country.We understand the health bulletin circle to keep up with the latest health information and contains the status of MDG 4 and MDG 5 which help to localize the MDG target.I hope that people will be interested to get their service from this institution and the number of patients will increase significantly.
We are lacking of Ultrasonogram, Surgical Management, Paediatrician, Ent Speacilist, Orthopedic surgeon facility which we should get as early as possible for better service.
To achieve the target of MDG, the 50 bedded hospital should run as early as possible by filling the all requirments by the government thus people will get better service from this hospital.
We wish the new year 2015 finds us in good health and better service to the people of Palash upazila.
