Shibpur Upazila Health Complex | Health Bulletin 2015 |
Preface
This is my great pleasure to publish this HEALTH BULLETIN 2015 of UHCShibpur Narsingdi . This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2014. It is published to disseminate the information of Upazila to other department and development partners of health .For health bulletin we gather data from wide range of sources across the Upazila . The health managers .officers and health staff at the head and subordinate offices and health facilities and the fields , all were engaged to make huge data available, analyze them and prepare reports . I hope all the information of this bulletin will be helpful for planning and bridging the gaps in the health services of this Upazila . This is an important publication and we use it as our reference of health data . we use health bulletin to understand how much progress we made in the past year in the health sector . we also understand through this bulletin where we made little progress , where we need to pay more attention and where we could do better . The health bulletin 2015 will contribute to improving transparency about health issues of the country . The bulletin contains the status of MDG-4 & MDG-5 which will help to locate the MDG targets. The sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin . I like to take attention of the higher authority to look after this burning issue .I always belive that there is enough scope for perfection in the future health bulletin. I hope in future we can publish health bulletin 2015 by timely generation and dissemination of quality data by the help of valuable comment & suggestion from your side and MOHFW & MIS -Health. I express my sincere thanks to Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Additional director general (planning & development ) and Line director of MIS Health for providing his moral support . Important information and necessary issues for Shibpur Upazila Health Complex
Shibpur Upazilla Health Complex is a 31 beded hospital. It is not CEmOC based. No facility for Ceasarean operation. Upgraded 50 beded hospital building has already been handed over but no manpower . Some patient coming to this hospitals are diverted to district hospital to avail specialist service which is nearer and well communicated. If specialist doctors are posted here and we can provide them with residence. I hope that people will be interested to get their service from this institution and the number of patients will increase significantly. We are lacking X-Ray facility which is not functioning from 2005. We have no ECG machine and blood transfusion facilities.
