Rangamati Civil Surgeon Office | Health Bulletin 2015 |
Preface
Health Bulletin-2015 on behalf of civil surgeon office Rangamati, is going to be published. The bulletin will present the existing human resource, equipments and ongoing health activities in the district and will also explore some data that will reflect the outcome of the activities. Rangamati is the district of lake, hill and forest. The natural beauty of this district an extra ordinary charm and an enjoyable environment that attracts the tourist. This is for seeing and feeling but not the same for dwelling and providing service to the people. More than 80% of the total area of the district is hard to reach and in some areas, it is very hard to approach where people live in the forest, surrounded by hills, having no road or water communication . In most of the lake areas, public transport is absent. Hired boat is needed to reach the distant areas that costs a lot. All above have made it difficult for the health workers, to meet people door to door, thereby provide satisfactory health service and adequate information collection to build up a sound data status. Of course, we are striving to achieve accuracy and reality. However, hope, this bulletin will make platform for a totally realistic achievement at the coming days and a satisfactory outcome. Thanks to all who have contributed directly or indirectly to publish the bulletin.

Important information and necessary issues for Rangamati Civil Surgeon Office
Rangamati District has no purpose built Civil Surgeon Office Building. The office work is done in old tin shed hospital building. For want of well planned store room, the storage materials suffers a lot and bears the chance of damage. Store Medical Officer post is vacant, resulting deficient looking after the store and therefore logistics management is at risk. However, a multistoried EPI store house has recently been built with adequate space and wide open yard. It has started functioning with satisfactory vaccine management.
