Preface
I am very glad to publish this e-health bulletin 2015 of Birganj Upazila. This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2014.This bulletin is published to disseminate the information of Birganj upazila to other line department and development partners of health. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this upazila. Government health office has many data stored in the file. This e-health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also to see the results and achievements of 2014. The bulleting contains the status of MDG 4 and MDG 5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. This health bulletin has also the information on safe drinking water and sanitation status of the upazila. All the sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin of 2015. I like to take attention of the higher authority to look into to this issue. Finally I would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for setting us one step ahead toward Digital Bangladesh. Important information and necessary issues for Birganj Upazila Health Complex
Birganj UHC has been upgraded from 31 Bed to 50 Bed and handed over on 20th Sept/2012, although not yet permitted to deliver the services to the patients as 50 Bed hospital. Now this hospital is waiting for inaugarotion by the Honourable Prime Minister of People's Republic of Bangladesh as 50 bed hospital very soon. To deliver the services to the patients as 50 Bed hospital following essential measures should be taken immediately- A. posting of:- 1. consultant/specialists ( Gynae & Obs, Anaesthesia). 2. Dental Surgeon. 3. Nursing Superviser. 4. Other Staffs. B:- 1. Well equiped Operation theatre. 2. Essential instruments for performing operations. 3. Anesthesia machine and necessary drugs related with anesthesia. C:- 1. A New AMBULANCE. D:- 1. Medical equipments and logistic support should be continued in a timely fashion. 2. Repairable instruments should be repaired immediately (e.g- X-ray machine, Sucker machine, Microscope etc.) E:- Doctor and nurses need more training on IMCI, EOC, communicable and non-communicable diseases. Finally, I am very happy to write this health Bulletin 2015, because this document will help us to compare our progress in upcoming years. This is very useful document and will help the public to understand health services and to provide us the useful advices for our improvement
