Preface
Health Bulletin is the yearly performance report of Chowgacha Upazila health complex,Jessore.Primary health care with its all components are implemented in the Upazila health Complex, RDC, FWC and Community clinic as per guide line of WHO. Easily available & accessible service are the components of the Chowgacha Model Upazila health complex.The performance of Chowgacha Upazila complex is praiseworthy and it helps to achieve the MDG target 4 & 5 in Chowgacha within 2009 and Now it is sustainable. Community participation and Systemic service delivery systems help to make the health Complex "Model". I thank to all service providers who are directly and indirectly performing their duties with satisfaction and I also thank the volunteers who are giving their hard labor side by side of the Government employee. And a lot of thanks to the community leaders who are spending their money and giving the moral supports to all activities of the Upazila heath Complex. And grateful to higher authorities for their inspiration.

Important information and necessary issues for Chowgacha Upazila Health Complex
Health Manpower shortage is the burning and important issue of Chowgacha Upazila health complex. Deficiency of consultants and others staffs & fields staffs are hampering the normal speed of the work. This is a big challenge of the Chowgacha Upazila health complex. Model activities are running against the said challenge because community participation is very strong. Various types of management system makes the Chowgacha Upazila health complex "Model" are given below: 1. Integrated approach of community leaders, administration & health management. 2.Team approach & dedication of the health service providers. 3. Citizen charter of hospital & fields services are displayed on the wall of the hospital. 4. Protocol board to locate the service points. 5. Continuous health education in outdoor, indoor, antenatal registration room. 6. Mobile phone of Emergency, Indoor, EOC to provide telephonic health service facility. 7. Separate service delivery system with 4 outdoor pts registration counter. 8. Under 5 corner/ IMCI corner for under 5 children. 9. Pregnant women rest room where heath education is given daily by Nursing supervisor, DSF coordinator & audiovisual system. 10. Maximum utilization of govt. limited resource. 11. Maintaining all criteria for woman friendly hospital like separate female Pt's registration, separate ANC service by female doctor, maintaining privacy by screening, safe drinking water supply by water filter and other facilities. 12. Running blood bank system by registered about 1000 donors with their addresses with in 1km radius of the hospital. 13. All activities focused on the basis of all components of PHC as per guide line of WHO. 14. TQM with 5s kaizen program is going on with the help of JICA & DGHS. 15. With honesty & sincerity all motivated staffs are working, providing effective and prompt services showing respect to the patients. *Scope for extra information from individual institution should be remaine
