ABUL KALAM AZAD, Additional Director General (Planning & Development) & Line Director, MIS, DGHS, Mohakhali Dhaka, has developed an personal of toolkit in our reserve to measure the improving health system of Bangladesh towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals-5(MDG-5).Our Government health system is tremendously improving. Unnoticeably without getting appreciation of the people.To make this improving health system visible this Health Bulletin will help people understand.The indicators and parameters of health system and one can measure the trend and improvement of this.Our Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital has Started its journey since 1968.It is a renowned Medical College Hospital girvng Health service to the people of whole southern area of Bangladesh.It was established with 300 beds and now upgraded to 1,000 beds.It is providing improved Health care service with its infra structural and Manpower shortage constraints. So for this reason it may lag behind regarding some indicators in comparison to other old and established Medical College Hospital.But we are hopeful that with the creation of posts for sufficient manpower of 1,000 bedded Barisal Medical College Hospital.Our health system will also be improving day by day.
