Preface
It is a great pleasure to know that Health Bulletin-2015 is going to be published on time. I am very glad to publish this Health Bulletin of Pirojpur District. This Bulletin contains most of the health related information of year 2014 of Pirojpur District. It is realy a matter of proud to me to see the achivment of Pirojpur District in the health sector. Although we have limitation of resourses the experience & progress of Bangladesh in some health relation issues are already being considered globally as examples of sucess in resoure Poor Setting. I hope all the information of this Bulletin will help for planning & bring the gaps in health service of this district. With the Leadership of honourable Priminister Sheikh Hasina ,the goverment has been continuing to prioritize the health sector till date. Accurate field level data are essential for correct dicision . This bulletin contains 1. The organization at a glance of this district . 2. Existing health facilities in this district. 3. No. of patients visited in OPD ,Emergency & Indoor of these facilities 4. Child health & MDG-4 2014. 5. Maternal health & MDG-5 2014. 6.Top 10 diseases according to the number of patients admitted in the district hospital and upazila hospitals in year 2014. 7. Top 10 diseases according to the number of deaths amnong the admitted patients in the district hospital and upazila hospitals in year 2014. 8. Water & sanitation status of the district,BOR in the district hospital and upazila hospitals .9. Classwise man power data with percentage of vacant post,Category wise manpower in different health facilities.10.Existing important equipments in Civil Surgeon Office . Important information and necessary issues for Perojpur Civil Surgeon Office
I would like to mention some important information regarding our health status which will help us to achieve good results in near future . 1. Sadar Hospital Doctors vacant post should be filled up immediately . 2. New post at least three should be created for postmortem and other medicolegal examination in the district hospital as early as possible . 3. All the repairable equipments should be repaired as soon as possible . 4. The existing space of DRS is not adequate for its reservation, so space should be increased immediately . 5. There is no conference and training room in Civil Surgeon Office . A well facilitated conference room & Guest room is necessary for this purpose as soon as possible.
