Preface
Institute of Child and Mother Health (ICMH) is a national level organization under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare working for the welfare of children and mothers. It is regarded as one of the lead training organizations for health & nutrition of children and mothers. The institute is providing training to all level health care providers from home & abroad. The institute has so far developed a number of curricula for training on health & nutrition of children and mother.
Mission: Mission of ICMH is to respond to the needs of children and mothers in the country particularly in the field of health and nutrition.
Vision: ICMH is a unique institution to guide and lead the country in child and mother health and a hospital based services on preventive, promotive and curative care.
Goal : The ultimate goal of this institute is to bring about an improvement in the field of health and nutrition of children and mothers of the country.
Objectives
Health and Nutrition Research in Child and Mother health.
Human resources development through teaching & training in child and mother health.
Provision of health care in the community, outpatients and inpatients.
Research: One of the mandates of ICMH is to conduct essential health service research. ICMH has so far conducted 140 research activities since it’s inception.
Management: ICMH is run by a Board of Governors constituting of 16 members and headed by Honorable Heath and Family Welfare Minister.
Presently it is a 200 bed hospital comprised with Paediatrics Department, Paediatric Surgery Department and Obstetrics and Gynaecology both indoor and outdoor and other auxiliary patient care services like Anaesthesiology, Lab Medicine, Radiology & Imaging ,Epidemiology & Bio Statistics ,LMC & Child Disability Management Center. It conducts BCS (Health ) Cadre Special Foundation Training .

ICMH is an unique institute that does not provide only service but contributing to human resource development through training and post graduate courses. We also conduct research regularly. We have a specialized lactation management center and adolescent clinic. We do not have latest investigation facility like CT scan and MRI.
