Govt. Homeopathic Medical College Hospital | Health Bulletin 2015 |
Preface
Government Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital was established in 1989 as a 100 bedded Medical College Hospital in four wards such as Male, Child, Female & Gynae under Bangladesh Homoeopathic development project of 1980 with 161 staffs. Since then GHMCH is pioneer in the undergraduate Homoeopathic Medical education and service providing hospital in this country. It has been converted into revenue in 1993. Everyday all types of patients from different corners of Bangladesh are taking services from this hospital for better management and health care. We have the specialty of Homoeopathic Medical service "Treat the patient not the disease" and "symptom based treatment" in this hospital. Necessary investigation facilities are also available. Here we want to mention special criteria of the hospital such as: We never refuse any patient for admission. We provide almost all Homoeopathic medicines.

Important information and necessary issues for Govt. Homeopathic Medical College Hospital
Important information and necessary issues for Government Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital I would like to express some of important issues which if solved will help us to achieve better in terms of patients care: 1. Shortage of manpower. Our recommendation is that the vacant posts should be filled up as per newly passed recruitment rules as soon as possible. 2. One medical officer, one residential physician, one register, six indoor medical officers, one assistant professor, nine lecturer and one research/production/quality control officer are appointed in this hospital, college & research cum production unit as a part of Alternative Medical Care recruitment (Total-93 doctors, 2001-15 MO, 2014-78 RS,RP,IMO,Assistant Professor,Lecturer,Research officer,MO including General hospital & Thana health complex). All posts (Homoeopathic) still running as project. It should be converted in revenue budget as soon as possible for better patient care. 3. There is a research cum production unit as a part of hospital for collection data, analysis of the patient who are come to take treatment and preparation of medicine. Manpower and financial condition is very poor for this institution. It should be increased. 4. Future expansion: Sanction budget for GHMCH is very little. It should be increased for better management. This hospital should be expanded as 250 bedded hospital with manpower. Finally I am very glad to publish this Health Bulletin 2014 in favor of staffs of Govt. Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital. All activities and achievement are highly encouraged. Thank you everybody for participating and hearing with patience.
