Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
In 1984 Bangladesh Government declared Bhola as district. After declaration of district Bhola Civil surgeon office performed its activities in Sadar upzila Health Complex which was 6 bed Hospital at British period . Then 1988 new civil surgeon office was Constructed in Bhola sadar Hospital campus which was of small space and congested and not enough room for staff of civil surgeon office & DRS store were allocated. It can be mentioned here that every civil surgeon office has a guest room but Bhola does not. So it is time to demand to make a guest room in CS office. Bhola has a district Hospital which in under construction 250 bedded but it is running with 50 bedded staff only. So eventually patients are not satisfied due to shortage of service providers. On the other hand, Average 146 patients get admitted in this hospital every day which becomes a huge burden for ruing staffs. EmOC activities is not good enough due to lack of Anaesthetist Doctor . Now it requires sanction of manpower for 100 bedded Hospital & immediate posting. Otherwise Bhola district hospital could not deliver her service to the door step of the people which is current government vision. If we want to implement the digital health service and effective referral system then we need ambulance, driver and fuel as well as water ambulance, as because bhola is a island district and it has no road communication with other districts. To achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) we also need a specialized child hospital. Bhola demands a Trauma center due to huge road traffic accident related patients.
