Important information and necessary issues for National Center for Control of Rheumatic Fever & Heart Disease |
The center provides various investigations and treatment to rheumatic fever, rheumatic heart disease and many non-communicable diseases (NCD) through outpatient services. The incidence/prevalence is decreasing gradually with our efficient and effective health care which includes awareness program of population (by leaflets, brochures, TV & Radio) training of health personnel and surveillance. This Center works in collaboration of WHO and JICA. Future plans: Extension of patient service throughout the country by the trained health professional. Conduction of training and surveys on non-communicable diseases (Heart disease, diabetes, cancer, lung disease). Expansion of the center as an institute for non-communicable disease control with special emphasis on prevention and research.
