Preface
I am very glad to publish this health bulletin of Alikadam Upazila . This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2013. This bulletin is published to disseminate the information of Alikadam Upazila to other line department and development partners of health. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this Upazila. Government health office has many data stored in the fine. This health bulletin has also the information of safe drinking water and sanitation status of the Upazila.I like to take attention of the higher authority to take into to this issue. Finally I would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for setting us one step ahead toward Digital Bangladesh. Alikadam Upazila is a remote Upazila of Bandarban district. It is 111 km South from Bandarban. It has 2 unions with 691 villages with 8197 households. The population is around 46,798. Alikadam union is the larger. The Upazila Health Complex is located in the populated area. The socio-economic condition is very poor. This Upazila is endemic for Malaria. Most of the houses is made of Bamboo. Matamuhari is the main river passes through The Upazila. Most of the People Of The Upazila depend on agriculture, Tobacco Cultivation, Bamboo and Wood Business, Then Are Many Hard to Reach Areas in both the union like- Kurukpata, Poamuhari, Bulaipara In Alikadam Union & Mangu In Choikhong Union. Important information and necessary issues for Alikadam Upazila Health Complex |
 Here I like mention some important factors which will help us to achieve good results in future. 1. The vacant post should be filled up immediately. 2. Our doctors and nurses need more training on IMCI 3. Number of community clinic and the bed capacity of the health complex should be increased. 4. All the repairable equipments should be repaired as soon as possible. 5. We have Three female HA who need CSBA training. Finally I am very happy to write this health bulletin of 2013 because this document will help us to compare our progress in upcoming years. This is a very useful document and will help the public to understand health services and to provide us the useful advice for improvement in future.
