Preface
I am very glad to publish health bulletin of Sandwip Upazilla. This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2013. This bulletin is published to disseminate the information of Sandwip Upazilla to other line department and development partner of health. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this upazilla. Government health office has many data stored in the file. This health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also to see the results and achievements of 2012. The bulletin contains the status of MDG 4 and MDG 5 Which will help to localize the MDG targets. This health bulletin has also the information of safe drinking water and sanitation status of the upazilla. All the sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin of 2012. I like to take attention of the higheir authority to look into to this issue. Important information and necessary issues for Sandwip Upazila Health Complex |
 Sandwip Upazila is a remot,hard to rich and offsore island upzila of chittagong district.Sandwip upazila health complex is working with many limitations and these are as follow 1.the hospital bulding is too old and 50% of the bulding can not be utilized as at already been damaged 2.upazila health complex has not electric supply from gvoerment power supply sestem 3.Hospetal has no water supply Facility 4.No consultant is working 5.out of 8post only 2 ssn is working here of them only 2 is female .so basic EOC service isvery poor here 7.Speed boat ambolanc can not be utilized as driver post yet not been crited.Beside other auxi stuffs posts e.g pharmacist,mt lab SACMO ,mt E,P.Ialso vacant .To improve the service .upazila health complex vacant post spesilly female ssn to be filled up immediately.and driver post of speed boat ambulance tobe created .Forelectricsupply high power solar system to be stablished Sandwip upazila health complex is situated at the most nor thern paret of sandwip .So about 70%of the total population can not get health care service from this health complex.Cosidering this haramia 20 beded hospital was stablished in 2009 at the central place sandwip.Administrative aproval and man power already been aproved.this hospital will provid a easy accessible health care service to the maximum people if it can be operating with full manpower and logestic suport immediately.
