Important information and necessary issues for Cox's Bazar 250 Bed District Sadar Hospital |
Important issues and recommendations for Cox's Bazar district hospital: 1. Shortage of human resources: 250 bedded hospital is running with sanctioned post of 100 bedded hospital and with shortage of staffs. Staff pattern should be sanctioned as 250 bedded hospital with immediate placement for smooth running of the hospital. 2. Capacity building: Doctors, nurse & paramedics need to provide adequate training for smooth service delivery & up-gradation of new development in medical science. 3. Shortage of equipment & logistics: All essential life saving equipment & logistics related to service delivery should be provided. 4. Encouragement: health care delivery staffs working in this district hospital are most neglected and deprived of in all aspects comparing national standard. Incentive system like foreign training, promotion, better posting, appreciation, recognition etc should be provided to encourage them. A systematic and organized health service encouragement scheme or policy can enhance better health care delivery in this district hospital. 5. Infrastructure: (a) Immediate construction or arrangement of separate post operative block construction is very important . (b) Creation of separate IMCI and Nutrition corner. Finally, I am very happy to prepare this health bulletin 2013, because this document will help us to compare our progress in upcoming years and with other district hospital . This bulletin is a very useful document and will help public to understand. the health service of the district and to provide useful information & suggestion for further improvement of ongoing health care delivery system of the district in the years coming.
