Preface
I am very glad to be able to publish this health bulletin of Rajasthali Upazila for the third consecutive year. The publication of this type of bulletin each year bears much importance as it incorporates all the heath related information of respective year. In addition, It helps disseminate the information of Rajasthali to other line department and development partners of health. This years bulletin will be no exception. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gape in health service of this upazila. Furthermore, it will help to find constraints as well as to see the results and achievements of 2013. The bulletin contains the status of MDG 4 and MDG 5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. Data on safe on safe drinking water and sanitation status of the upazila are also available in this bulletin. Moreover, all the sanctioned and vacant post are published in this bulletin. I would like to dear attention of the higher authority to look in to this issue. Finally I would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for setting us one step ahead toward digital Bangladesh. Important information and necessary issues for Rajstali Upazila Health Complex |
 The UHC is a 10 bed hospital. The bed occupancy rate on 2013 was nearly 40%, which is day by day increasing, at this moment it is about 60%. There is no EOC facilities. The adjacent upazila Kaptai located mid way between Rajasthali and Rangamati district hospital. Most of the time there is a shortage of doctor. Most of the post of physicians are still vacant. People are not getting quality services due to lack of doctors. There is no clear and up to date rules how to run the hospital ambulance. The ambulance is not an ideal one, there is no facilities inside the ambulance for critical care of patient.
