Preface
It`s my great pleasure to open this health bulletin of ulipur upazilla. Publication of upazilla health bulletin is one of the most significant event in the health service delivery system at this upazilla. It is an important step forward which can help for planning and implementation of community -friendly health program . This bulletin not only contains the health related information of the upazilla but also a document that needs to fix the criteria for further planning of achieving the MDG targets. I would like to thank to my colleagues of ulipur upazilla parishad and officers & staffs of health complex, ulipur for helping me a lot to complete this work. Finally, I want to give my heartiest gratitude and thanks to the honourable director of MIS , divisional director, Rangpur division and civil surgeon, kurigram for their cordial co-operation and all kinds of support.

Important information and necessary issues for Ullipur Upazila Health Complex |
Ulipur is one of the upazila of kurigram District in Rangpur Division and Northern part of Bangladesh. Out of 14 unions of this upazila. 7 union are roughly affected by the river erosion. The people are very much neglected. ignored from Health service and living below the proverty line, Literacy rate is lower and pepole are not concious about Health , The average length of hospital patient stay was 3 days. Human resource chart it show there is 85.50% physician post is vacant in this upazila Health complex. The upazila is highly populated. Male:Female ratio is about 50.5; 49.5. Here is only one 50 beded hospital . Doctors posting was abuot 2 in number in the last year(85.5 post was vacant) There was no pair for Emoc, Besides lot of barrius MMR 122.99% and and NMR is 25.92%. We arrange safe delivery at is community clinic, DSF MHVS program smoothly running. All concerns are motivated and dedicated to serve the rural people of ulipur, and here is a good relationship among the service provider, upazila administration and NGOs.
