Natore District Hospital | Health Bulletin 2014 |
Preface
Adhunik Sadar Hospital Natore is a 100 bedded hospital which is equipped with EmOC service, IMCI service & one stop crisis management cell. To achieve our next goal MDG-4 & 5 it requires more EmOC & IMCI trained medical professionals here. Patient`s Visitors visit in the hospital any time & could stay any number & any period they wish. I think this is an common picture of all the health facilities in Bangladesh. It is the most important barrier to keep the facility clean & tidy which increases the Morbidity period of patients in the hospital. I could remember a story of two Irish man. 'Two Irish men were standing in front of a store & looking to a pair of hand gloves. first one asking to another, what is the use of that? Second one replies, don't you know!? It is very good for hand washing. If you wash your hands with water wearing them, your hands will never get wet.'
I think, time has come to rethink about health facilities for better health services.

Important information and necessary issues for Natore District Hospital |
The name of the district hospital is Adunik Sadar Hospital. But in fact it is so called modern & not up to the mark to deliver health services as a modern hospital. At present a project named vision 2020 is running in district hospital by national eye care which shows very effective in poor people with cataract & other eye problems. But it would be more modernized if there is a Phacoemulsification system for cataract surgery. Adhunik Sadar Hospital, Natore is improved to 250 bedded hospital declared by Hon. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on 11th February in 2012.
At present the rush of patients admitted & OPD also facing problems with electric wearing difficulties, ambulance shortages and sanitary problems. Natore district hospital requires a different cardiac unit & E.N.T facility immediately. A laparoscope, digital X-ray machine, endoscope, ultra sonogram & ECG machine is essential to progress near goal. The morgue of the hospital is no more workable which should be repaired & modernized soon. Many vacant posts of doctors, nurses & most importantly 4th class employees (sweeper, cleaner) in this hospital are to be filled up immediately for better services. We are advancing to achieve our Millennium Development Goal & digitally improved health services & we all know that, there is no shortcut to success. So these little obstacles are to be solved by our combined effort. We are looking towards the day while nobody will die without treatment.
