Preface
I am very glad to publish this health bulletin of Santhia Upazila. This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2013. This bulletin is published to disseminate the information of Santhia Upazila to other line department and development partners of health. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this upazila. Government health office has many data stored in the file. This health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also to see the results and achievements of 2013. The bulletin contains the status of MDG 4 and MDG 5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. This health bulletin has also the information on safe drinking water and sanitation status of the upazila. All the sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin of 2013. This Upzila has already received award from ministry of health and family welfare for the extra ordinary Performance in Non EOC activities(2012). In spite of Non EOC Upzzilla, Caesarian Section and Other Minor Operation are Done regularly. Health Complex Campus is decarated with beautiful Garden Contacts of lot of different Kinds of Flower and trees. One Beautiful Mosque a Cafetaria and a motorcycle Stand increases more Beauty of the Ceampus It has a waste disposal plant in Eastern Side of the campus makes it neat and clean. It is a 50 beded Hospital, But Manpower working here only 31 bed. Rest of the post of the 50 bed should be fill-up as early as possible for the smooth running of the Hospital. I like to take attention of the higher authority to look into to this issue. Finally I would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for setting us one step ahead toward Digital Bangladesh.

 Important information and necessary issues for Santhia Upazila Health Complex Last year we could not give our maximum efforts improve the health status due to many reasons. Here I like mention some important factors which will help us to achieve good results in future. 1. Number of community clinic and their fascilitics should be increased 2. The vacant post should be filled immediately. 3. Manpower and financial Support regarding 50 beded Hospital Should be approved as early as Possible. 4. Our doctors and nurses Should be trained UP. 5. All the repairable equipment’s should be repaired as soon as possible. I am very happy to write this health bulletin of 2013 because this document will help us to compare our progress in upcoming years.
