Preface
It is our great pleasure to publish the health bulletin of Jhikargacha upazila for the 3rd time.This bulletin contains all the health related informations of this upazila of 2013.This bulletin is published to disseminate the informations of this upazila to other line departments and development partners of Health.I hope all the informations of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this upazila.Government health offices have many data stored in the files.This health bulletin will help us to find constraints and also to see the results and achievements of 2013.The bulletin contains the status of MDG4 and MDG5 which will help us to fix up the local targets.This health bulletin has also the informations on safe drinking water and sanitation status of the upazila.All the Sanctioned and vaccant posts are published in this bulletin.I like to draw attention of the higher authority to look into this issue.Finally I would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for helping us to go one step ahead towards Digital Bangladesh.

Important information and necessary issues for Jhikargacha Upazila Health Complex |
 Together with the glorious national achievement in Health sector, Jhikargacha Upazila Health department has done very well in the last year,although some constraints had a negative impact on our achievement.We have a 50 beded hospital very nice to look at but no manpower has been allocated yet to run the hospital well.Moreover,the support staff posts are not fulfilled.We have only two sweepers to keep the hospital building and premises clean.We have no mali,only 4 MLSS.Out of 39 ,we have only 27 Health Assistants,2 Health inspectors out of 3,5 AHI out of 8.We are to work with many other limitations.To go fast in health sector in the race of building Digital Bangladesh,all the vacant posts should be fulfilled immediately.Lastly I humbly request all my colleagues,to give their heartiest services for our people to help them live healthily.Thanking again everybody, Dr Sanjoy Kumar Pathak, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, Jhikargacha,Jessore.
