Preface
we are going to publish local health bulletin of Sharsha Upazila, Jessore for the 3rd time.Here we are focusing our health related activities both curative and prevetive . We have tremendous achievement in preventative sides related to EPI (Expanded program on immunization), Diarrhoal disease control, TB&leprosy control programetc. But we have limitation in curative sides due to various reasons . Here is shortage of manpower both in preventive & curative sides , scarcity of facilities and lack of proper planning . There is also a gap between health personels and general people. With all there adverse circumstances we are doing our level best to serve the people with the aim to achieve the MDG concerned to Health Sector . I expect that publishment of this bulletin will acknowledge peoplie about our activities and limitation of our ability . Thereby this publication will be able to give away the gup .between our workers and local people .I thank all concerned involving in this process .

Important information and necessary issues for Sarsa Upazila Health Complex |
 In Sharsha Upazila we, the Health workers and physicians are working hard to make this health complex,an ideal one.Our achievement in preventive side is satisfactory but in curative side it is not upto the mark.We have shortage of man power in curative side also in preventive side .More over Upazila health complex have no designed emergency department and no organograme of manpower in emergency side. we have to work here by placing staff from different corner. For this reason we are facing a great problem in this place and most of the unwanted situations are happened here. We feel the necessity of a receiptionist post to be created in outdoor who can direct the incoming patient to attend proper place for their service . we also the need of creation of emergency medical officer (EMO) posts for performing better duties in emergency side .This hospital is 31 beded. Establishment Works for 50 bed Hospital is Goining on. So it will be a 50 beded hospital within short time . I expect that with the co-operation and involvement of local population we will be able to overcome all the problems relating to health services. This health bulletin will help the people to realise the real picture , limitation and capabilities of our health departrment and there by give up the distance between the two parties ic service provider & service acceptors.
