Preface
This is my great pleasure to publish this HEALTH BULLETIN 2014 of District Narail. This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2013.It is published to disseminate the information of district to other department and development partners of health. For health bulletin we gather data from wide range of sources across the district .The health managers, officers and respective health personels all over the district were engaged to prepare this report.I hope all the information of this bulletin will be helpful for planning and bridging the gaps in the health services of this district. This is an important publication and we use it as our reference of health data.we use health bulletin to understand how much progress we made in the past year in the health sector. we also understand through this bulletin where we made little progress ,where we need to pay more attention and where we could do better. The health bulletin 2014 will contribute to improving transparency about health issues of the country .The bulletin contains the status of MDG-4 & MDG-5 which will help to locate the MDG targets.Out of seven Health Institutions in Bangladesh two institutions of Narail District i.e. Sadar Hospital and Lohagara Upazila Health Complex,Narail have recently been selected for getting award for observing “Safe Motherhood Day’’in 2013. In Narail District Many Post of Doctors are lying vacant. So we have to face a lot of problems in delivering health services to the people. The sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin.I like to take attention of the higher authority to look after this burning issue.I express my sincere thanks to Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Additional director general (planning & development)and Line director of MIS Health for providing his moral support.Positive attitude towards development of this health bulletin. This is my responsibility to thank all the team member of MIS Health for their continuous effort and creation .
