Page 1: Shyamnagar Upazila is a remote Upazila in Satkhira District. It is situated on 5o km south from Satkhira. It has 12 unions with 75410 households.Most of the unions are not accessible through roads .At presents The population is around 359244 which was censuses by H&FP basic field workers, along with arsenoeciosis searching programme 2013.The Upazila Health complex is located near at the north pole of the Upazila. Majority of the people of this Upazila is uncovered by health services from this Upazila Health complex because of the location of this Upazila Health complex and also barrier of default communication facilities. 38 Running community Clinics in this Upazila performs a great role in Primary Health Care Which is performed by 38 trained CHCP along with basic Health and family planning Workers. Majority of house made of mud and interior communication specially road communication is ill developed specially Gabura ,Padmapukur and khaikali unions.In rainy session most of the land goes under water due to faulty excavation system of rain water. I am very much glad to publish this health bulletin of my Upazila. This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2013. This health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also to see the results and achievements of 2013. The bulletin contains the status of MDG 4 and MDG 5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. Finally I would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for setting us one step ahead toward Digital Bangladesh.

Important information and necessary issues for Shyamnagar Upazila Health Complex, Satkhira |
 Last year we could not give our maximum efforts to improve the health status due to many reasons. Here I like to mention some important factors which will help us to achieve good results in future.  The vacant post should be filled-up immediately.  Our doctors and nurses need more training  Deputation of all doctors and nurses should be cancelled immediately.  Last year bed occupancy rate 178.43% which gradually increasing and bed occupancy rate may exceeds above 200% in this year,  Bed occupancy rate gradually increasing day by day which a great burden is for improve quality management service delivery. So I request to proper authority for immediately construction of 100 bed hospital for proper service delivery.  EmOc service delivery in this Hospital is probably one of the best service centers in the country. Huge number of pregnant woman is getting obstetric care after got admission into this Hospital. But there is no obstetric ward is this Hospital, so we need an obstetric ward immediately for proper care of huge number of pregnant woman.  All the repairable equipments should be repaired as soon as possible. All the condemnable item should be condemned as soon as possible. Finally I am very happy to write this health bulletin of 2013 because this is useful documents which will help us to understand the health services to our Community and abroad and to provide us the useful advice for improvement in future.
