Preface
Juri Upozila is situated in Moulovibazarr district of Sylhet Division . It started functioning from 26_08_2004 with 6(six)Unions; 4 unions from kulaura upozila and 2 unions from adjoining Barlekha upozila . Total area of this upozila is 222.91 sq km. 141 villages, 24291 households. Total Population of this upozila is 150869. (GR-2%). The main river of this upozila is Juri river. The remote union of this upozila is Fultola union,about 20 km away from upozila sadar. The biggest Haor of Bangladesh "The Hakaluki Haor",13 tea gardens, many low raised hills and reserve forests are providing diversity and beauty of this upozila. Demographically Juri is versatile with different religious and ethnic groups including small tribes like Khashia and Monipuri.Thousands of labourers are working in tea gardens. They are echonomically very poor group and there education and health status is very poor also .

Important information and necessary issues for Juri Upazila Health Complex |
 16 community clinics are providing primary health care and family planning services. Four community clinics are improvised and capable of doing normal vaginal delivery. In 2011 only one delivery was conducted in community clinic. In 2012 it was 172, in 2013 it was 76 and delivery in community clinics are running issue. Still now there is no UHC building at juri for providing clinical as well as preventive services, construction of UHC building is utmost necessary.Disposal of field Stuffs under UH&FPO, juri is a burning obstruction for providing field level services. For extending root level services, more community clinic should be constructed. Special effort and plan should take for needy and illiterate tea garden laborers to improve their health status. It is a great challenge.
