Preface
Moulvibazar, a district to the North-East of Bangladesh. It is 2,707 km² in area and has a population of 1.38 million.It is surrounded by Sylhet District in the north,Habiganj District in the west and Indian States of Assam and Tripura in the east and south respectively.
Moulvibazar "The tea land of Bangladesh" Out of 153 tea garden of Bangladesh 92 are situated in this district and that makes this district one of the most beautiful place in Bangladesh. Moulvibazar district have 7 Upazilas. 50 Beded hospital was establish on 1972 to provide health and medical services to the peoples of this district.50 Beded hospital has extended to 100 Bedded hospital in 1984. This 100 bedded sadar hospital was declared to 250 bedded hospital on July 2012 and inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on 1st December 2012. With the existing facilities now this hospital has a well equipped pathology department, digital X-ray with color Doppler. Haemodialysis, ICU, CCU, laparoscopic surgical and gynaecological procedure will be available soon for the peoples of this district. On the other hand existing facilities such as medicine, surgery, gynae and obs, orthopedics, isolation and emergency department is running properly. As because this 250 bedded hospital is the largest facilities for this district peoples from all upozilloas, tae garden workers and tribal peoples are come to this hospital and take facilities.
