Preface
I am happy to publish the 4th edition of local health bulletin of itna Upazila Health complex. We have tried to modify it avoiding the mistakes in previous editions in the light of experience. It will show the health situation of Itna Upazila including success of service delivery and realitive of ``Haor'' area. If the informations and indicators enclosed here contribute a little to research, policy making and motivation of common pepole the effort could be said successful. I am grateful to every one related to the publication of the bulletin. My respect and gratitude to Director MIS of DGHS. Important information and necessary issues for Itna Upazila Health Complex
If we think about the health service of itna upazila two important issues come forward, Which obstacle the proper service delivery & development, these are lack of communication & lack of manpower. Itna is a remote haor upazila. Most of the lands remain submerged under water in rainy season and in dry season the lands are cultivated.The villages has no road communication with upazila head Quater. In rainy season boat communication is easy but time consuming & risky. Lack of manpower is another issuse. Greater number of posts remain Vacant years after years. Due to lack of manpower it is hard to develop efficient teamwork. Due to lack of communication it is hard to supervise the haelth service activities. Any deficiency in comprehensive service hampers the confidence of the people and make them disintersted to attend the hospital. Lack of communication & lack of residence facility makes the employees disintersted to works in haor area which are the main causes of manpower deficiency. Inspite of those maximum utilization of existing fascilities makes us confidant to run the service & make the srevice acceptable to all.
