Preface
I am very glad to publish this health bulletin of district hospital, Khagrachari. This bulletin contains most of the health related information of 2014. This bulletin is published to disseminate the information of Khagrachari district hospital to other line department and development partners of health. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this hospital. This health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also to see the results and achievements of 2014. This bulletin contains the status of MDG4 And MDG5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. This health bulletin has also information of safe drinking water and sanitation status of this district. All the sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin of 2014. I like to draw attention of the higher authority to look into this issue. Important information and necessary issues for Khagrachari District Hospital
Khagrachari is a district of different geographic, demographic and socioeconomic variables. As a secondary referral center this hospital have great demand of health services. However, due to some constrains quality service delivery is facing various challenges. The major constrain is unavailability of medical officer, emergency medical officer, specialist doctors in many areas like medicine, ophthalmology, orthopedics etc. Beside this, unwillingness to stay of doctors posted from outside of this region and weak monitoring system if this problem is of great concern. Khagrachari district hospital is running as 100 bed hospital with limited resources of 50 bed hospital. However, the dedicated available staff are performing hard to overcome this problem. I appreciate the policy of present government to reach the health services to the people of grass root level and very happy to be the part of these extraordinary effort and link of this great chain.
