Preface
The Health Population and Nutrition Sector Development Program (HPNSDP) has been initiated by The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh for a period of five years from July 2011 to June 2016. There are 32 Operational Plans (OPs). Health Information Systems and e-Health (HIS-EH) one of them.I am delighted that the Local Health Bulletin is going to be published from The Office of Superintendent District Hospital, Lalmonirhat.This Health Bulletin is of the year of 2014 and there are available data for the period of January 2014 to December 2014. It is expected that this Health Bulletin will help us to understand progressing trend.From this lesson, we would be benefited in achieving the goal. Important information and necessary issues for Lalmonirhat District Hospital
(1) Lalmonirhat District Hospital is Women Friendly Hospital. (2) Inadequate doctor posting, specially Sr. Consultant, Jr. consultant. (3) Lalmonirhat District Hospital is Comprehensive EmOC facilities. 24/7 EmOC Services are not available in district hospital. (4) Inadequate Cleaner, Aya and other supporting staff of the district hospital, but No Security guard available here. (5) District Hospital situated in one end of the district and distance of the Upazila like 12 kms, 35 kms, 65 kms, 85 kms from the district H.Q. (6) Most of people are not aware about ANC, PNC and institutional delivery. (7) This year this hospital upgraded from 100 bed to 250 bed. But infrastructure is to be built. (8) Manpower not sanctioned. (9) Due to lack of manpower SCANU could not be start.
