Preface
It’s my privilege to publish this “Health Bulletin’’ of Santhia Upazila. All the health related information of Santhia Upazila of 2014 are compiled in this bulletin. It is published in order to disseminate the information of Santhia Upazila to other departments and health development partners.
I hope that all information of this bulletin will help for planaing and bridging the gaps in the health services of this upazila. It will help us to find the constrains and go through the results and achievements of Santhia Upazila of 2014. This bulletin contains the status of MDG-4 and MDG-5 which will help to localize the MFG targets. It will also Provide the status of safe drinking water and sanitation of the upazila. It’s very glad to inform that this upazila has achieved award from Ministery of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) for the “extraordiary performance in non EOC activties’’ in 2012 and “Health System strengthening Award’’ in 2013
Health Complex campus is decorated with beautiful gardens containing different kinds of flowers and trees also. A beautiful mosque, a cafetaria, a motorcycle stand add facilities to the campus peaple ant patients as well. The campus has a waste disposal plant in the eastern side which helps to keep the campus neat and clean. It is a 50 beded hospital but urforhenately manower for 50 beded hospital has not been sanctiobned yet. EOC services are not the kind attention of the higher authorily to look into these issues. We are eagerly waiting for positive response in this regard from the respective authority which will further enhance the health services of this upazila. Finally; I humbly congratulate the initiator of the health bulletion software for setfing up one step ahead towards “Disital Bangladesh”
