Preface
This is my great pleasure to publish this HEALTH BULLETIN 2015 of District Narail. . Narail is an emerging district for health providing situated in the south east part of Bangladesh under Khulna Division. Narail District town is situated on the bank of River Chittra . There are three Upazila , four thana, three Municipility and thirty nine Union . Some famous people`s was borned in this soil of Narail . Those people who contributes to the Country and abroad are mentioned below. Birshresta Nur Mohammad Sheake , S, M, Sultan , Amol senz, Pondit Robi Sankar . Also Masrafi Bin Mortoza Kawsik Captain of Bangladesh team in Cricket World Cup 2015,born in this District. . The health bulletin 2015 will contribute to improving transparency about health issues of the country .The bulletin contains the status of MDG-4 & MDG-5 which will help to locate the MDG targets.Out of seven Health Institutions in Bangladesh two institutions of Narail District i.e. Sadar Hospital and Lohagara Upazila Health Complex,Narail have recently been selected for getting award for observing “Safe Motherhood Day’’. Also Borogati Community Clinic of Narail Sadar Upazila hass been selected for best CC award in all over Bangladesh. In Narail District Many Post of Doctors are lying vacant.So we have to face a lot of problems in delivering health services to the people. The sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin.I like to take attention of the higher authority to look after this burning issue.I express my sincere thanks to Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Additional director general (planning & development)and Line director of MIS Health for providing his moral support.Positive attitude towards development of this health bulletin.This is my responsibility to thank all the team member of MIS Health for their continuous effort and creation .

Important information and necessary issues for Narail Civil Surgeon Office
• Caesarean Section in all upazila & District Hospital is going on smoothly .
• Normal delivery in Lohagora UHC sharply increased
• Normal delivery started on CC
• Confidence of the doctors and nurses has increased after “Life Saving Skill” training
• Referral due to obstetrical complication decreased as doctors and nurses can manage more obstetrical
complication after “Life Saving Skill” training
• Local recruitment of doctors, nurses and supporting staffs under MNHI fund supports Hospital Management.
• Private CSBA working in the community .
• Referral from community area is increased the linkage between Hospital and community.
• MNH services increased in all facilities.
• MIS system markedly improved due to supply of Desktop Computer, laptop, tab,modem, webcam and other
necessary supplies .
• Community Groups and Community Support Groups are more aware about management of CC and the health facility of the pregnant women.
• Institutional delivery had been increased significantly by trained manpower.
• Construction/ reconstruction works need to be finished ASAP
• 100 beded hospital is running with 50 beded manpower. Manpower need to be sanctioned for 100 bed hospital
• Gynecologist, Surgeon and Anesthetist need to be ensured for 24/7 service in DH and UHC.
• Waste disposal system should be improved
