Preface
I am very glad to publish Health bulletin of Gowainghat Upazilla. This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2015. This bulletin is published to disseminate the information of Gowainghat upazilla to other line department & development partners of health. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning & budgeting the gaps in health service of this upazilla. This health bulletin will help us to find out constrains and also to see the results & achievements of 2015.The bulletin contains the status of MDG-4 & MDG-5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. This Health bulletin Contains also the information on safe drinking water & sanitation status of the upazilla. All the sanctioned & vacant posts are published in the health bulletin of 2015. I would like to draw attention of the higher authority to look into this issue. I would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for setting us one step ahead toward digital Bangladesh. Important information and necessary issues for Gowainghat Upazila Health Complex
Gowainghat health complex is a 50 bedded primary referral upazilla Hospital in sylhet district. Last year we tried at our level best to deliver the health services to the destitute people. Population are increasing & demands of health service are also increasing arithmetically. But there is some constrains in health service delivery :- (1) Acute shortage of Doctors, Nurses, Technologists & others supporting staff, (2) No trained government CSBA, (3) No EMOC service, (3) Insufficient necessary instruments & machine. To improve the health service delivery :- (1) Vacant post should be fulfilled immediately, (2) Training on IMCI & EOC for health personal, (3) All the Repairable equipment & machine should be repaired as soon as possible, (4) Necessary new instrument should be provided as early as possible.
Nevertheless with all-out co-operation & support of the government we will be able to carry out this novel mission to develop this Hospital as a model Hospital of the country.
