Preface

It's a great pleasure to me that the health bulletin of Nawabgonj Upazila Health Complex containing all the health related information's and data for the year 2015 is going to be published. I hope that information here with this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this Upazila. Govt. of Bangladesh is much more committed to ensure better health for all. For this reason MOHFW introduced a developmental program under the heading HPNSDP 2011-2016 and under which 32 operational plan are existing. One of which is health information system and e-health. This bulletin is a part of this plan. This bulletin will help us to find constrains and also to see the results and achievements of 2015. The bulletin containing the data will help to localize the MDG targets. Important information and necessary issues for Nawabganj Upazila Health Complex. In spite of Nawabgonj Upazila Health Complex is a 50 beded hospital. There are 36 Community Clinics and 2 Union Sub-Centers in this Upazila which are working satisfactory. There is sufficient doctors posted in this Upazila. ur cordial efforts we could not achieve satisfactory success in few subjects due to Shortage of manpower. As for example we could not perform General Surgery due to lack of General Surgeon. EYE and ENT consultants could not do their specific duties due to lack of instruments. More sweepers are required for keeping the hospital more clean. Vacant posts of third and fourth class employees should be filled up urgently. A 500ma digital X-ray machine can meet the demand of patients which can improve the standard of service. Still then, all the existing manpower work here as a team to deliver the maximum and satisfactory service to the patients. Hence we are approaching towards the achievement of MDG. HED should be more careful to construct maintain Infrastructures. Individual dept like Eye, ENT, general Surgery, Dental Surgery would be well equipped and would be brought under strong responsibilities regarding their tasks.
