Preface

I am very much glad to publish the health bulletin of Upazila health complex, Tarail, Kishoreganj for the year 2016. This health bulletin contains all the health issues and data of 2015. Through this bulletin, people can know about the services of different health facilities under Upazila Health Services. We also come to know about the achievements of different health issuses, eg.neonatal mortality , infant mortality , maternal mortality, communicable diseases control , access to safe drinking water and sanitation . Through this bulletin we can also find out the constraints and problems of health services which help us to improve the health status in coming year. Thus the service providers can provide better service to the clients . The health bulletin is a storehouse of information and data of different health issues which is essential for implementation of future planning of different program of health services. I am glad to inform you that, we have started 5S -kaizen-TQM activity in this upazila hospital as a part of health service strengthening program (HSS) and expecting better quality service for clients . I would like to congratulate MIS (DGHS) under MOHFW for their contineous support to publish local health bulletin to progress us one step ahead to establish digital Bangladesh. I am grateful to all office staffs and field staffs of this health services for their contineous efforts, specially thanks to all the doctors , nurses (incharge),Health Inspectors (incharge),Sanitary inspector and Statistician who helped to enrich the health bulletin by providing different information and data related to health issues. I will be greatful to all concerned to help us to find out the mistakes of health bulletin which will be corrected in future.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Here I like to mention an important factor which should be solved as early as possible for achieving better health service in Tarail Upazila .It is none other than the Manpowere issue . This Health complex is a 50 bed hospital. Most of the posts are till now vacant, specially Nurses, MT (lab) MT (radiology). In addition , patients from Nearest Surrounding upazila eg- Itna ,Madan, Kendua,Nandail,Karimganj upazila , come here for seeking health services .It is very difficult to provide standard health services to the people with a shortage of nurses and MT (lab) ,MT (radiology). Specially Indore service is hampered a lot. So the vacant posts of Nurses and MT (lab) ,MT (Radiology) should be filled up immediately.
