Along with the other nations of the world we took the vow of 'Transforming Our World' by attaining "Sustainable Developmental Goals" by 2030. In this endeavor the health sector of Bangladesh is working relentlessly to fulfill the Agenda 3 which is 'Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.' Information is the key. Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
In order to provide health care service to people at route level Upazila Health complex plays the pivotal role. Union sub centers, Community clinics, NGO and private facilities are rendering their best efforts alongside Health Complex. These combined efforts resulted our success in MDG. Now if we want to sustain our success and reputation in SDG, proper planning and their implementation should be done at policy making level momentarily. Utmost priority should be given to building infrastructures. improving facilities, providing modern and effective equipments and drugs, training to make efficient manpower. It is matter of great relief and pleasure that, Govt of People's Republic of Bangladash under the proper leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working continuously to upgrade our health system to a sustainable quality. Building a new 4 storied modern Hospital building at our Upazila Health Complex and inaugurating it by our wise and highly optimistic Health Minister Md Nasim is clear reflection of it. Recruiting numerous young , talented and energetic doctors, digitalization of Health information system initiating community clinics are enriching our health facilities. But there are many constraints to be overcome. Logistic supports should be improved at urgent basis. Modern investigation tools should be added. Our non-functioning X-ray machines should be repaired or replaced quickly. Due to lack of a driver our ambulance is lying idle for several years. Medicine supply is very limited in respect to demand. Many patients are referred to District Hospital for operation as we have no consultant of Surgery, Gynae & Obstetrics and Anesthesia. Now there are no regular RMO and Statistician in our health complex. Number of Nurse, SACMO, wardboy, Aya, MLSS should be increased and vacant posts should be fulfilled.Alternative electric source should be installed. Due to inadequate security stuff sometimes unpleasant incidents are taking place at hospital premises. I hope respective divisions will be earnest enough to cut down our limitations so that they do not obstruct our pathway to attain universal health care.
