Preface

Welcome to the Health Bulletin 2016 from Upazila Health Complex, Belabo, Narsingdi. Like last few years we are going to publish Health Bulletin 2016 which includes data of working year 2015. From very beginning I expressed my feeling of producing such a publication is very difficult and complex. Because at the root level data producers work with a heavy load of job & can not record data hundred percent . Few of them do not feel the necessity of data recording. However I myself always encourage my colleagues to record the minimum data which will be needed to produce a nationwide publication. My realization, some improvement is already there.which you will notice through this publication. We are getting seven more desktop computers which will help us in recording data most instantly & correctly. It is also important that skilled manpower yet not developed. They should be more serious, alert & devoted to there job, specially in filling all data format presented to them. At last, I would like to thank my colleague relating to publishing this local health bulletin 2016, Belabo Narsingdi. Thank you all.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Upazila Health Complex Belabo, Narsingdi is running with 31 bed capacity . 50 beded hospital building construction was completed four years back. But no extra manpower was employed supporting 50 bed. This should be considered seriously.Condition of the running ambulance is very poor. It is running for more than 10 years. Frequent repairing causes wastage of money. So a new ambulance is highly needed. Four EMOs post should be created for better hospital performance. Without increasing revenue budget four MOs from union level can be posted as EMO for initial action. All category of staff should be retrained according to their need. All category staff and officers should be transferable after definite period of time. Financial handling power/limit should be increased . Local level plan (LLP) should be honored and followed. Behavioral change communication (BCC) program should run all through the year. Token money should be collected from the patient. Meetings among various level of hospital staffs should be carried out regularly.
