Preface

I am very much delighted to publish Local Health Bulletin-2016 of Kendua Upazila. The main purpose of this bulletin in to disseminate the information of kendua upazila and I certainly beleif that this will update the current health status. So that planning and bridging the gaps in health services of kendua upazila will be strengthened. This bulletin contains the status of health related MDG specially MDG4. Though it is a 50 beded CEmOC hospital no cesarian operation could not be possible because there is no Junior Consultant(Gynae & Obs/Surgery/Medicine) and EmOC trained pair Nurses. we are hopeful that our higher authority will look after to consider this matter. I am hopeful that this health bulletin will help us to compare our progress in coming years and will help the general people and other sectors to under stand health services. I would like to special thanks to S.M.A. Baset Chowdhury, Statistician, UHC, Kendua for compiling and editing this bulletin. Finally, I express my extended gratitude to Additional Directorate General(Admin) & Director, MIS, Prof. Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, DGHS, Dhaka for giving oppurtunity to publish recent edition of Local Health Bulletin-2016. Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Important information and necessary issues for kendua upazila health complex: Last year we could not give our maximum efforts to improve the health status due to many reasons. Here I like to mention some important factors which will help us to achieve good results in future. Number of the bed & furniture capacity of the health complex should be increased. Our doctor, Nurse, SACMO, Pharmacist,& Statistician need more training on Computer, Nutrition, IMCI, NCD & EmOC etc. Our Statistician need Basic Computer training of 28 days.Health assistant(HA) need long term training as like as CHCP for further development of field activities.. All the repairable equipments should be repaired as soon as possible. We will be able to achieve national goal in future. With thanks..
