Preface

Few years ago it was thought that health related informations is a secrete one. But time has changed . Now information is one of basic rights of people. I am very glad to publish this health bulletin of Khaliajuri Upazila. This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2015.This bulletin is published to disseminate the informations of Khaliajuri Upazila to other line departments and development partners of health. I hope all the informations of this bulletin will help in planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this Upazila. Government health office has many data stored in the file.This health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also see the results and achievements of 2015.The bulletin contains the status of MDG4 and MDG5 which will help to localize the MDG & SDG targets.This health bulletin has also the informations on safe drinking water and sanitation status of the upazila. All the sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin of 2015. I like to take attention of the higher authority to look into this issue. Finally, I would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software for setting us one step ahead toward Digital Bangladesh.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Kaliajuri is the one of the remote areas in Bangladesh. It is a hawor (water) land. It takes at least 3 hours to reach the nearest Upazila from khaliajuri & district headquarter is almost 5 hours distance though it is only 50 kilometer. There is no EmOC service in the upazila and no consultant available of maximum faculties. there is practical problem in referring patient after evening and night. To ensure the at least standard treatment of local people it is very much needed to fill up the post vacant like Lab technician, SSN ,SACMO & consultants. the upazila should be included in EmOC srevice & need both water and car ambulance . The hospital bed should be increased to 50 urgently. with limited resources the achievement of 2015 is satisfactory. Hope to do better and better in future if the above mentioned issues are addressed in time.
