Preface

I am very happy to publish the health bulletin of Zajira Upazilla for the fifth time, though second time on my part. This bulletin contains all health related informations or data of Zajira upazilla in 2016 This attempt will help to dessiminate the necessary data to other departments and development partners of health services. The health bulletin will show different constraints in delivery of health services. It also present the result and achievment in Expanded Programe in Immunization(EPI).This bulletin reflect manpower ( both exsisting & vacant post )and mechineries of Zajira upazilla health complex. It also shows mortality & morbidity pattern of this uhc .We have achieved some MDGs(especially MDG 4 & 5).New SDGs are challenges to us for achievement.Infrastructure of 50 bed uhc has completed but manpower & logistics are not allowed by the government. Therefore we will able to reach SDGs if our vacant posts are filled.Lastly I am grateful to MIS ,DGHS for arranging & publishing LHB.I also thankful to my colleagues who help me in compilation & publishing this health bulletin. Overall I am grateful to the Almighty Who enable us to publish such an informative bulletin. If any mistaken or error occur in LHB will be corrected sincerely. Thanks to all.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
I like to mention some important issues regarding management & health services of my hospital/upa zilla health complex. We have an old ambulance which often becomes non-functional.At present it is non-functional and attempt has taken to repair it through replacement of different mechineries according to advise of BRTA.So such semi-functional ambulance is not suitable for rapid carrying of emergency patient. Therefore a new ambulance is very very essential for my UHC and it is a burning issue for myself/my hospital.I draw the attention of our higher authority through proper channel & requisition.Secondly I want to present that our hospital has no functional generator to provide electricity during load shedding thereby admitted patients suffer greatly from hot & humid weather. So we sincerely need and seek a generator.Infra structure of 50 beded UHC has been handed over on 2014 but tll date no administrative recommendation for extra manpower.Lastly I like to say that a new ambulance ,a generator,.employment of required no.of manpower of different classes and allocation of a four wheeler jeep/car for UH&FPO ~~all these will improve & inspire comprehensive health management & health services of this upa zilla. ~~~~~Dr. Munir Ahmad Khan,UH&FPO,Zajira,Shariatpur
