Preface

The Annual Health Bulletin is the main comprehensive reports witch gives the information of Bangladesh. I am very glad to publish this health bulletin of Alikadam Upazilla. This bulletin is mainly confined to the government health sector and presents information on major areas like morbidity, mortality, resource availability and provision of services in Alikadam Upazilla of Bandarban District, a remote area of Bangladesh. The information has been revised and brought upto date to reflect as far as possible the situation during the Year 2015. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services of this upazilla. This health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also see the results and achievements of the year 2015, it has also the information of safe drinking water and sanitation status of this upazilla. I wish to place on record my sincere appreciation to all the health workers of Alikadam Upazilla who extended their energy generously in providing data from their surveys and programmes. Further I wish to extend my gratitude to the planning unit of ministry of health & family welfare of Bangladesh and other development partners of health for the great support in publishing this Annual Health Bulletin 2016 and thus setting us one step ahead towards digital Bangladesh.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Here I woud like to mention some important factors which will help us to achieve satisfactory results in future. 1. The vacant doctors post should be filled up immediately. 2. Our doctors, SACMO and nurses need more training on IMCI 3. All the repairable equipments should be repaired as soon as possible. 4. We have Three female HA who need CSBA training. 5. Comprehensive emergency obstetric care facility is not available in this Upazilla. This CEMOC facility will help lot of pregnant mothers. 6. We need extended support to reach hard to reach area and make EPI successful and satisfactory. Finally I am very happy to write this health bulletin of 2015 because this document will help us to compare our progress in upcoming years. This is a very useful document and will help the public to understand health services and to provide us the useful advice for improvement in future.
