Preface

I am very glad to publish this health bulletin of Banshkhali Upazila.This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2015. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning & bridging the gaps in health services of this Upazila. This bulletin contains the status of Mortality & Morbidity profile of patients of this Upazila which will help to localize our national SDG target.It will represent the average health status as well as health seeking behaviour and patterns of the inhabitants of this locality. This health bulletin also contains the information on safe drinking water & sanitation status this Upazila. Information on current manpower status,service based health structure with treatment facilities and scopes has made this publication resourceful . I like to take the attention of the higher authority to look into this issue and take necessary steps to improve the current status. Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
I would like to inform our Higher authority that, Hospital was upgraded to 50 bed at 2008 but structure remained same as previous 31 bed.Due to vacant anesthesia consultant post,fully serviced EOC and surgery facilities is not available now.Our hospital complex building (Old building) is damaged severely due to insufficient repair. Damaged Boundary wall made this hospital area unsafe especially at night. So Immediate repair of hospital complex building,boundary wall,electric line and drainage system is mandatory to continue efficient health care delivery system . Uninterrupted electricity is also needed badly in this load shedding prevailing area.
