Preface

Patiya is one of the largest Upazila in Bangladesh. Total area of this upazila is 372 sq. km. There is a Municipality & 22 Union councils in this Upazila. The total population of this Upazila of about 5,50000. There is a one 50 beded hospital, seven union sub-centers, sixteen Health & family welfare centers and 55 community clinics in this Upazila. The Basic EmOC program are functioning in the 50 beded hospital. This 50 beded hospital is also a women friendly hospital. Average Bed occupancy rate in this hospital 101% . There is central Water supply system. In absence of electricity, Generator is well functioning. There is UH&FPO, Eight Consultant, 22 MOs Working in this Hospital. Due to absence of MT-Radiographer & Some accessories X-Ray Service is not available. Four Consultants, Two MT-Lab., one Pharmacist, One Medical Officer, Four HA, Post is Vacant, three medical officers are unauthorized for long time. Ambulance of this health complex is 14 Years old, it is not well functioning. So we need new Ambulance.
