Preface

I am very pleased to publish 5th Local health bulletin-2016 of laxmichari upazila, Khagrachari. It is a mirror of overview document for upazila health service where we find out our weakness and strength for taken plan next year. This bulletin contains all the health related information of 2015.This bulletin is published to disseminate the information of laxmichari upazila to other line department and development partners of Health. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health services in this upazila. This health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also to see the results and achievements of 2015 and compare data the previous year. The bulleting contains the status of MDG 4 and MDG 5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. Especially, we have to address and emphasis maternal health and child health registration in field level to provide under service and regularly arrange Union follow up meeting. This health bulletin has also the information on safe drinking water and sanitation status of the upazila. All the sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin of 2015. I like to take attention of the higher authority to look into to this issue. Finally I would like to congratulate the initiator of the health bulletin software and specially thank all stakeholders to supply their data and statistician also, for editing LHB-2016 successfully published. It is necessary document to find out our strength, weakness, risks and assumption for next year, and we mentally prepared to receive all good consultation for better publishing in future and developing e Health system through making Digital Bangladesh. Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Here I would like to mention some important issues which will help us to better service in future. 1.Build up environment with women friendly hospital in all service level; 2.The vacant post should be filled up as soon as possible; 3. Establishing another six community clinic and for achieving vission 2021; 4. All the repairable equipment’s should be repaired as soon as possible. 5. We implement activities in hilly area but TA/DA is insufficient for more staff I strongly request to higher authority it will be increased. 6. Repairing and painting Hospital building and staff Quarter very soon. 7.Appointed a trained personnel or trained from statisticians in districts level to manage local ICT problem for smoothly service..
