Preface

With cordial greetings to all employees and peoples of Baghaichari upazilla, I am very happy to publish the health bulletin 2016 of Baghaichari. I tried to include complete health information of 2015 of this upazilla in this bulletin & hope this will help to disperse the efficiency of health system and natural resources of our upazilla to all. It will also help to manage the gaps in health service of this upazilla. Various data entries will show the results and success of 2015 and will also give the status of MDG5 which will help to point out new SDG targets. This bulletin will give the information of safe drinking water and sanitation status of the upazilla. All the sanctioned and vacant posts are published in this bulletin. We told the power supply problem in our previous bulletin. This problem persists till now along with poor internet facilities, inability to do ECG, Nebulization, X-ray due to low voltage. The main building of this complex, dormitories of doctors, residence of other employees are very old and all of these need urgent reparation. Otherwise dangerous events can take place at any time. I hope our higher authority will look after it. Beautiful Sajek union is the largest union of this upazilla as well as our country. But this union is situated about 100 km away from upazilla headquarter with many unreachable areas. For this, sometime breach in health services occur but we are trying our best to overcome it with our efficient manpower and sincerity . Finally, I want to conclude by giving thanks to all the manpower of health services and hope the dream of making healthy digital Bangladesh will become fruitful.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Though we are giving best efforts, we are not fully successful to attain the optimum health status due to many reason. Here I would like to mention some important factors which will help us to achieve good results in future : 1. The vacant posts should be filled up as early as possible. 2. Reconstruction of the main building of this hospital, dormitories and staff quarter . 3. Number of community clinics and bed capacity of the health complex should be increased. 4. We are unable to use our X-Ray facilities due to low voltage .There is a need of 50kv transformer to upgrade of voltage. 5. Increase the services of pathological tests in the hospital. Finally I am very happy to write the health bulletin of 2015 because this document will help us to compare our progress in upcoming year. This is very useful document and will help the public to understand health services and to provide us the useful advised for improvement in future.
