Preface

It is a matter of great pleasure that by the grace of Almighty Allah We are going to publish our Upazila Health Bulletin of Shajahanpur Health Complex,Bogra(fifth addition) .Supported by MIS, DGHS,Mohakhali, Dhaka. I would like to exp ress my gratitude to prof.Dr.Abul Kalam Azad,ADG (Planing and Development) and Line director ,MIS,DGHS,Mohakhali,Dhaka. Every person can observe the Verious activities,performance and achievement of different programmee of Shajahanpur Upazila Health Complex at a glance by this bulletin.All the Doctors and staff are very happy to know about this bulletin. I hope that the natural outcome of these bulletin will create an opportunity of getting information of the activities health sector of shajahanpur upazila Bogra. This bulletin will serve the information with statistical data. It is a matter of our pleasure that in this year 2016.We successfully Carrying on the Vaccine PCV and IPV which started last year.We also started successfully the use of iron and folic acid tablet for the pregnant women to prevent anaemia during pregnancy.Our target is 5800 pregnant women.We also perfomed Deworming proggramme on 1st week of August 2015 for the school going children aged 6 to 12 years.our target was 45000 and we fulfilled the target about 99%.PCV target was 460,IPV target was 460, Vitamin A"target was (1-5 year) 45,000. we also performed Vitamin A+ campaigning on the 5th April saturday our total target was 44,233 and our achievement was 44,123 which was 99% in percentage All Doctors and stuff helped me cordially to prepare this bulletin.I am greatfull to them all.In future we shall try our level best for the improvement of our bulletin with more details information.

Shajahanpur is a newly created Upazila in Bogra District. Which is declared as upazila in 2002 and started its function from 2006. Shajahanpur Upazila health complex is a constructed health complex. Many of the facilitiesof a health complez is yet not established and many machinaries and other necessary equipments is yet not Supplied like:Ultra sonogram machine and for the transportation of the emergency patients to the higher facilities center like Ambulance which is urgently needed. But still not supplied. Many important post like:Sanitary inspector and Nursing supervisor is not created. All the health complex is running with two pharmacist but in Shajahanpur health complex the created post of pharmacist is only one. So normal activities of the health complex is hammering due to want of necessary equipment,vehicle and manpower. So the above mentioned problem should be solved urgently for the proper treatment and for the well management of health services in the health complex as well as in the field level.
