Preface

Its my privilege to publish this Health Bulletin of Santhia Upazila. All the health related information of Santhia Upazilla of 2015 are compiled in this bulletin. It is published in order to disseminate the health related statistics of Santhia Upazila to other departments and development partners. I hope information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in the health services of this upazila. It will help us to find the constrains and methods to overcome them and go through the results and achievements of Santhia Upazila in 2015. This bulletin contains the status of MDG-4 and MDG-5 which has already been achieved and look forward to reach the SDG goals. It will also provide the status of safe drinking water and sanitation of the upazilla. I am glad to inform that this upazila has been awarded by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) for the extraordinary performance in non EOC activities in 2012 and Health System strengthening Award in 2014 and Health System strengthening Award both at national and divisional level in 2015. Health complex campus is decorated with beautiful gardens containing different kinds of flowers and trees. A beautiful mosque a cafeteria, a motorcycle stand are the added facilities to comfort the patients and visitors. The campus has a waste disposal plant in the eastern side which helps to keep the campus neat and clean. It is a 50 bedded hospital but unfortunately manpower for 50 bedded hospital has not yet been sanctioned. EOC service not yet started and we are eagerly waiting for positive response in this regard from the respective authority which will further enhance the health services of this upazilla. Finally I humbly congratulate this initiation of the health bulletin software for setting up one step forward towards Digital Bangladesh.

Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Important information and necessary issues you want to raise (Year 2015) Last year we tried our level best to improve the health status but faced many difficulties in achieving our desired goals due to many reasons. Here I would like to mention some important factors which will help us to achieve better results in future. 1. Facilities and infrastructure of community clinics should be improved 2. The vacant post should be filledup immediately. 3. Manpower and financial Support regarding 50 bedded Hospital Should be approved as early as possible. 4. Our doctors nurses and health staffs should be trained up. 5. All the repairable equipment s should be repaired as soon as possible. I am very happy to publish this health bulletin of 2015 because this document will help us to compare our progress with rest of the country. This is very useful document and will help the people to understand health services and to provide us the useful advice for improvement in future. This document will also help us to compare our progress in upcoming year. ===== THANK YOU =====
