Preface

I am very glad to published this health bulletin of Shahjadpur Upazila. This bulletin contains all available health related information of 2015. This bulletin is published to disseminate the information of Shahjadpur Upazila to other line department and development partners of health. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning and bridging the gaps in health service of this upazila. Government health office has many data stored in this file. This health bulletin will help us to find constrains and also to see the result and achievement of 2015. The bulletin contains the status of MDG 4 and MDG 5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. This health bulletin has also the information on safe drinking water and sanitation status of this upazila. Along with basic EmOC Service,DSF(Demand Side Finance) are also running in this hospital. All the sanctioned and vacant posts are published in the bulletin of 2015. I would like to take attention of the higher authority to look in to this issue. I would like to thank upazila ICT focal person, statistician & other corner for their report to make this bulletin possible. Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Shahjadpur Upazila Health Complex provides basic health care facilities in this area. Along with basic EmOC service , DSF projects are also running in this hospital . Every day around three hundred patients receive health services from this hospital . But in every sector our manpower facilities are inadequate . We have no surgery, medicine consultants and anesthetist but EmOC,anesthesia medical officer available, and no trained IMCI SACMO. Most of the staff quarters are not usable . We have Generator machine but the generator room is not prepared, so it is of no use now .Our Upazila Health Complex has an X-ray machine but it is not functioning from September/2014 due to some machinery faults.Here we do Caesarean section regularly but blood transfusion not available.In EmOC Buillding O.T available but in O.T Water supply,O.T light (Sky light) not properly functioning.
