Preface

Juri Upozilla is situated in Moulvibazar district of Sylhet Division. it started functioning from 26_08_2004 with 6 (six) unions,4 unions from kulaura upozilla and 2 unions from adjoining Barlekha Upozilla. Total area of this upozilla is 222.91 sq.km, 141 villages,24589 households. Total population of this upozilla is156963. (GR-2%). The main river of this upozilla in Fultola union,about 20 km away from upozilla sadar.The biggest Haor of Bangladesh "The Hakaluki Hoar", 13 tea garden,many low raised hills and reserve forests are providing diversity and beauty of this upozilla. Demographically, juri is versatile with different religious and ethnic groups including small tribes like khashia and monipuri. Thousands of labourers are working in the tea gardens. They are echonomically very poor group and there education and Health status is very poor also.

16 cc are providing primary Health care and family planning services. 4 cc are improvised and capable doing normal vaginal delivery in 2011 only one delivery was conducted in cc. In 2012 it was 166, in 2013 it was 78 , 2014 53 and 2015 41 delivery in cc are running issue .still now there is no UHC building at jury for providing clinical us well us preventive services , construction of UHC building is utmost necessary. For extending root level services, more cc should be constructed. special effort and plan should take for needy and illiterate Tea garden labors to improve their health status. it is a great challenge.
