Preface

I am very glad to publish this Health Bulletin of Jagannathpur Upazila . This Bulletin contains all the Health related information of 2015. The Bulletin is published to disseminate the infomation of Jagannathpur Upazila to other line department and departmental partners of Health. Jagannathpur Upazila is the South point of Sunamganj district & 40 km. from district headquarter. Total area is 376.91 Sq km & Population is 2,89,375 . It has 40,048 households out of 9 Union. 6 Union are hard to reach and Communication System is difficult. There are enough haor & river. Most areas of the Upazila are low lying areas. By the way inspite of many challenges & problems, we will overcome all of our obstacles. Offcourse we will fulfil our committment and ensure Health related services for the people of Jagannathpur. Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
Aim to improve the following Service: 1) Improved Service for maternal & neonatal health. 2) Aseptic normal delivery to be increase. 3) Management of the complication like: a) APH b) PPH c) Obstructed labour d) Eclampsia e) Pre eclamsia 4) Emergency Operation like LUCS. Leparotomy etc. 5) Management of the Asplyxiated neonatal baby. Drow back for important issues :- 1) Shortage of manpower to be filled immediately. 2) Fill up the post of Gynocologist, Anesthetist. 4) O.T. Machine may be reccreted. With the improvment of all of this criteria, we will be able to improve all services of the hospital & we will be able to provide better services for the patient of this area.
