Preface

It is a great pleasure and privilege for us that, 5th time of this kind of news bulletin is going to be published and we are entitled to be a part of it. This bulletin contains all the health related information of Beanibazar Upazilla in 2015. This will enhance to give update & current information about the ongoing health services of our Upazilla. I hope all the information of this bulletin will help for planning & bridging the gaps in health services of this Upazilla. The bulletin contains the status of MDG 4 and MDG 5 which will help to localize the MDG targets. Though There may be some limitations but in course of time it will be a milestone in the development of the health sector in Bangladesh. Important information and necessary issues you want to raise
It is a matter of pride that we have been awarded as best Emoc UHC in sylhet division for consecutive seven times and one of our community clinic (Ghungadia cc ) became first in sylhet division last year. We are committed to give sustained and improved service to the people . But some limitations are hampering our services. We have shortage of manpower like consultants( ENT,Eye ,Surgery,Medicine,Anaesthesia,Orthopedics)Nurse,Sonologist,Pharmacist,Lab technician,Compounder and MLSS . Recently a new generator has been provided but not yet been installed due to lack of suitable space and fuel. Ambulance is too old and not functioning properly. Condemned items should be disposed quickly to free up the space. There is no specific store room in our existing facillities.So that lot of valuable medical equipments have remained here & there. It is nessessory to take initiative to resolve these problem. Financial power to solve local needs should be increased. An emergency fund must be available to handle urgent need for better management. A four wheel vehicle is needed to field visit & monitoring. CSBA training for female HA ,CHCP & FWA should be arranged. Promotion of the employee should be ensured after definite time & duration. Finally I express my gratefulness to all those initiators who gave us scope to focus our important issues to the higher authority.
