Preface

I am very glad to publish the Health Bulletin 2016 of Adarsha Sadar Upazila Health Office, Comilla. This Bulletin contains all the health related informations of 2015. I hope it will meet the need to disseminate our health relevant achievements to other organizations including our development partners. This will also help us in planning & bridging the gaps of the health service of our Upazila. This Bulletin will act as mirror of our activities and will help us to accelerate & stand arise the prefixed & on going job. The MDG 4 & MDG 5 status stated here will guide us to reach our destination. Status of safe drinking water, sanitation & other components of primary health care are stated in the Bulletin. The Bulletin also contains the status of our sanctioned & vacant post. My humble request to higher authority to look into the issue. I thank all my colleagues who were engaged in publishing the Bulletin. Important information & issues that may be raised: 1. Qualitative & effective health service can be delivered through skilled health personnel, which can be ensured through Human Resource Development (HRD). We have a training center, established through Thana functional Improvement Pilot Project by European Union. But we have no fund for maintenance, such as stationories, linens (Table cloth, Door/Windoe cloth), cookeries, furniture's (Chair, Table) etc for running it well. 2. Safe water is essential for service providers & service receivers. We are in trouble of water in Sub-center & Community Clinics. 3. the ceilings of Community Clinic) are soaking water and rain drops fall so much that service can't be delivered. Besides, there is break/crack in wall/floors in Bolorampur, olipur, Horipur, krisnapur Community Clinic, the building may fall at any time.
